Business Development Manager
Job Summary
TICO is currently seeking a skilled and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth by developing and executing strategic plans that aggressively grows and improves TICOs dealer network and spearheads the growth and volume of the EV product line. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding our customer base, drive revenue growth, and achieve sales growth targets. We are committed to delivering high-quality products/services to our clients and expanding our market presence. The Business Development Manager reports to the Senior Director of Sales, Marketing, & Commercial Development
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand and improve TICO’s dealer network.
  • Responsibility for the annual dealer review including expected volumes, corrective actions, and growth opportunities.
  • Responsibility for partnering with the Regional Manager in the appointment and development of new dealers.
  • Gain the technical knowledge and understanding of the new EV and autonomous products, taking full responsibility for the introduction of those into the marketplace including training, support, demo fulfillment, etc.
  • Responsible for developing electric truck sales programs and tools as well as supporting the TICO Regional Sales Team with EV-related inquiries and customers interactions, the objective for TICO to achieve 40% of the EV Terminal Tractor market.
  • Gain the technical knowledge and understanding of the proposed new octane fuel (gasoline & LPG) terminal tractors, taking full responsibility for the introduction of those into the marketplace including training, support, demo fulfillment, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet those needs.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Responsible for market share data, analysis, and strategic plans for market share growth.
  • Utilize market insight and trends to provide cost-efficient logistics solutions to customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve sales strategies and tactics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Proven experience as a high-level key account manager
  • Capacity and aptitude to learn emerging technologies, representing those chosen for TICO and evaluating/recommending other technologies for consideration
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated and tenacious, with a passion for exceeding goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10 years’ experience in the truck and transportation industry.
